Science & History Museum

The proposed design is a museum which focuses mainly on Science and History, as well as the history and developments of Singapore. The state of the art museum is targeted at people from all walks of life, as well as those who have a burning interest in Science and History. Its purpose is to allow them to gain more knowledge, and unwind themselves at the same time.

The design adopts a simplistic and natural concept, which means that there is “grass, glass and water” in the design. This will help the building to become more tranquil, and it can serve many other purposes. For example, the grass on the roof of the building can help to reduces heat gain and cool the surrounding air, while the all-glass exterior can also help to save on electricity bills for lighting in the day. Besides that, there is also a double helix bridge in the design, and it will emphasise the museum’s focus in Science.
